Use the THP2400A1027 cover plate assembly to cover marks on the wall or to mount the thermostat to a 2"X4" electrical box.
• 【Wall Plate Size】The THP2400A1027 cover plate assembly contains two cover plates (small and large). Small backplate: 5-33/64x4-21/64; Large backplate:6-7/8x5.
• 【New Thermostat Installation】Mount cover plate directly to wall- cutting the power, yanking the newly installed thermostat back off the wall, unhooking all the wires and unscrewing the mounting plate, and then adding the cover plate, lining up the mounting plate on the cover plate, and reattaching everything. Please refer to the enclosed manual.
• 【Cover Up Wall Imperfections】When the old thermostat was removed from the wall, there was no paint underneath; therefore, parts of the unpainted wall would be visible when the new thermostat was installed. Our back plates work perfectly to cover the unpainted portion of the wall. Highly recommend it for a clean look during an upgrade.
